Ladies Long Weekend
14 April, Thursday
I was looking forward to this long weekend for ages! It has a been an exhausting few weeks and I can’t wait to spend some quality at home and with the family.
Thankful that my most creative auntie agreed to volunteer herself at a school event. She has to talk and share with 3 groups of students about her profession. What she does for a living, why she does it, the benefits from it. I have been wanting to invite her over for the longest time too, so I was glad it pull through this time.
Why I mean she is my most creative auntie is because she is pure talent. She can sculpt balloons, paint faces, sew toys / bags etc, draws caricature gosh, the list goes on and on. What is even more amazing is that she self taught everything! She would simply watch a video from youtube on how to sew a doll for instance, and she would follow the exact steps and voila! If this is not talent, what is?
Since she had to ‘work’ for about for about 5 hours, I decided to give her a long overdue lunch treat. By this time, we were both exhausted so we chose a nearby place for lunch. Here at Mad Jack Nex Mall!
Pardon my exhausted first. Do we look similar? She is my youngest auntie from dad’s side and since I am the eldest niece, some relatives confused us. Lol.
Cake is a remedy for stress and exhaustion. Lol. Anyway, I have none of my auntie’s talent ok. I can’t draw, can’t sculpt balloon or whatever not, can’t sew… lol… I wonder where all the genes went to! But I still believe I am just as creative, just not in the same way as her.
I am also feeling blissful because she agreed to sponsor a photobooth for my wedding in September inshaAllah. So kind! Yay! Honestly, she has been saying that she will do this for my wedding way before I was even attached. I think it has been 10 years or more? Thank you in advance!
If you would like to engage her as a clown, or a princess (she does have Anna and Elsa costume), please look for ‘mdmtwister’ account in instagram and message her there.
15 April, Friday
It is a public holiday but Baba is working so I suggested we go out for lunch with Mama. Just two of us! We seldom get to do this!
Lunch at Eighteen Chefs at Eastpoint Mall.
The steak and the rice were soooo good. I seldom go for shopping of clothes but when I do, it is best to bring my mum because her mindset is ‘Just buy all since we seldom have time to shop!’. Wait, is that a good thing or a bad thing? Hmmm. #goodbyemoney
Anyway she often says that I dress atrociously so I should invest more on good quality clothes. Perhaps she forgot the nature of my job and where I work. Lol.
I have come to the conclusion that Eastpoint Mall has so many choices of good quality, cheap and comfortable clothes for me. Perhaps I need to pray for my wallet the next time I am here, especially with my mum.
Looking forward to more intimate times like these!
