A celebration of wedding anniversaries and family
22 May 2016
My Sundays are usually dedicated to workout but I decided to skip workout today because we are going out to celebrate my parents’ wedding anniversary.
I was also excited to meet my little niece after missing her for one whole week! Taking selfies in the car #crazyauntiealert
We chose to have our celebration lunch at The Landmark. The last time we were here was last year to celebrate Baba’s birthday in March and we thought the food was really delicious.
Another couple who share the same anniversary month as my parents are my uncle and auntie, Cik Man and Cik Lela.
My sis in law and bro had actually planned for them to be served a special cake. They did not know it of course, look at their surprised expressions.
Happy 25th anniversary to Cik Man and Cik Lela. Stay lovey dovey as always. 😀
Happy 36th anniversary to the parents! May you continue to be blessed with better health, more wealth and more grandkids lol.
“Among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility with them and He put love and mercy between your (hearts) : verily in that are signs for those who reflect.” Quran Ar-Rum [30:21]
I actually cannot believe how people can stay married for so long. When I was working in social service in my early 20s, I had to deal with divorce cases everyday. I almost thought that it was impossible to stay married for too long. I was young and naive, what was I supposed to think? I still remembered how my boss assured me that it does not happen for everyone and I should not be too traumatized. Thank you ex boss, that was very helpful.
Even though my perception of marriage was slightly distorted, I still have this teeny weeny faith left, that it might actually work for me. Someday.
Time to let the little one have her fun. Water park at Tampines 1!
My niece is one brave girl. She was the smallest girl there but she was happily hopping around from station to station and made sure not to miss any corner. I was worried she might fall down because all the big kids were running around wildly and may knock into her accidentally. Spot her in the above photo!
Having so much fun without a care in the world lol. Actually I had no idea that we were going to a water park so I was dressed in a long dress. Look how wet my dress is from all the water play.
Thankfully I was not taking public transport or else everyone is going to stare at my drenched outfit in the train. I would definitely join the water play if I were in decent pants lol.
We were back at my bro’s place after that. I was already tired by this time, I don’t know how my niece still has all the energy to play. #signsofaging
Sunday well spent, Alhamdulilah.
