Chapter 2: Green with envy at Cameron Highlands
10 June 2012
Its day 2! Woke up early to get ready to go off. Seemed too fast for us, we spent half the day shopping here in KL yesterday and I actually can go on and shop more. Oh well.
The view from our hotel room. Love the blue skies.
Get on the bus to get ready to go! This is my cuzzie.
The journey up was round and round. I was just thankful that I was not dizzy because I spent the time in the bus sleeping! I can sleep anywhere!
First stopover! Waterfall! Love!
Feel like jumping in to swim but there was not enough time!
So we just took photos of ourselves at the waterfall.
It was not too crowded too.
Look how clear the water was…..
Baba was so sporting to climb up with us! We had to climb up the hill slightly to reach the waterfall and some of the older ones in the bus did not want to. I thought that was a pity because the water was so cool and its even clean much to my surprise.
Let’s be dramatic.
The water was calling me. It really required a lot of self control not to jump into the water.
Ok time to go!! A bit sad because I felt the time was too short for me to climb higher to explore.
It was obvious that we did not want to leave. We were still playing while the rest of the passengers were already on the bus waiting for us.
Before boarding the bus, Baba found his long lost favourite place. He MUST visit this favourite place everywhere he goes.
We are finally here at the tea plantation! Looks how gorgeous the view is!
Seeing all these greenery makes me wish that I stay in the countryside so that I can wake up to this view everyday.
Tea house in the tea plantation where you can drink tea, admire the greenery and smell the fresh air.
Wish we had longer time to chill here! I did not have much time because I was queuing for the toilet!
Short visit to the honey factory. No photos as they did not allow us to take any.
Strawberry farm! Finally!! 3 of the farms we visited were closed! For a moment we thought we would not get to visit the strawberry farm as promised.
Can you see the strawberries?
Unfortunately we did not get to pluck them. It was still a good experience to be there to eat the strawberries freshly plucked!
The strawberries really tasted sweet and fresh. We were allowed to grab a few and pop it into our mouth.
Finally checked into the hotel at 4 pm and rested for a while. The hotel had no air con because the air was naturally cool. Love it.
The temperature got even lower at night. We had to be in jackets when we left the hotel in search for dinner.Baba is so proud of his Beverly Hills jacket. Haha..
The food was great too. Traditional malay / thai food in cooling weather. I really like it!
The place is really peaceful and there was not much happening. I like the environment but the drive up was tedious.
Time to leave for home the next day. Seemed too fast…
