Leaving footprints in Korea @ Saying goodbye from Incheon
24 December 2012
Its our last day here! I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip so I do feel a bit sad that we are going home. The girls decided that we should have more sleeping time today so we spent the morning sleeping and packing our bags.
I find it such a torture to shower because the water is icy cold, even with the heater on. The temperature is about -14 degrees.
After we were done, we went out to have lunch. Our guest house is really hidden in an alley and frankly if I get lost somewhere I will have difficulty coming back. The only thing I could remember was that our guest house was near this restaurant called Cobra.
Walking in the cold. Its quite nice to walk but it was really to cold to walk for a long time.
The streets…
Finally found a place to eat!
Looks delicious? Yummy. Hot pots such as this are common food for koreans.
I thought this waiter boy was cute so I wanted to take a photo of him but he seems shy and terrified by my action. Lol. The bestie looks funny here too. Hahaha….
For some reason, dearest bestie is excited with the theme of the restaurant. #crazy
After a sumptuous lunch, we were happy! I really appreciate the hot and spicy lunch in this freezing weather.
What kept us connected to the internet. Our portable wifi! We really could not do without it!
If you travelling to Korea and if you are a social media addict like us, it would be good to get this from Incheon Airport the minute you land. Even though most restaurants and cafes provide free wifi, we needed the internet to also help us with directions. I really cannot imagine if we were not connected, we would have been even more lost.
The best part about this portable ‘egg’ wif is that, its has no limitations to the number of devices that can access to it. Not only my phone was connected, my tablet was also connected to it and there was no change in the surfing speed.
Carrying our heavy luggages to the train station was not easy at all. The cold, the heavy luggage and the bumpy road was quite a challenge. Thankfully, we only had to endure one flight of stairs at the train station. Once we boarded the train, it was a straight journey to the airport.
It was quite a peaceful ride, I am glad we had seats!
Arrival at the airport. The bestie thought it would be a good idea to take photo at our first bus stop. Check out, no jacket and I was freezing.
Waiting to board the plane, not before shopping at the transit mall.
Thank you bestie and Rachel for being such wonderful travel mates! The trip has been enjoyable and pleasant mainly because of them! We should come back here again …lol.
The plane was full so we had to sit separately in the plane…first time in 10 days that I am apart from my bestie lol. The only good thing was Korean Air had a whole range of entertainment ready. In that 6 hours, watched 2 movies and listened to various songs! Loved it!
I am really not a fan of flying so I was shocked when the plane experience strong turbulences in the middle of the journey. Thankfully all was well and we landed safely.
Thankful for my family to come pick me up too! I truly had a wonderful trip, I am sure to have post holiday syndrome!
