Leaving footprints in Korea Day 10 @ Myeongdong and Itaewon
23 December 2012
I cannot believe its my 10th day here in Korea. The past 9 days have been filled with wonderful memories and laughter but I am missing local food very much. All the seafood and the dry weather had caused my skin to be so dry that I feel itchy everywhere and I continually scratch like a monkey.
We finally get to do some shopping today. We could not shop sooner as we were moving from place to place and carrying a heavy luggage would not be very convenient.
First stopover was the mosque for Zohor prayers. I did my Zohor prayers a few days ago when we were here and bestie could not. Today we swapped places.
Lunch at Pasha and finally get to eat meat again!
The steep walk to the mosque was tiring and the weather was really too cold. I like that the restaurant was empty. Hehe..
Yay meat! Ok I am lame I know hahaaa…but I seriously think I cannot live without eating chicken.
Just two of us for now as Rachel left the house early to go to church since it was a Sunday.
After purchasing some souvenirs we stop over at Smoothie King for drinks! Finally someone is drinking a hot drink!
Too much walking, no meat and cold weather has made me lose weight during this holiday. Hahaha..
After Itaewon area for Dongdamon and Myeongdong to shop. I should have carried a backpack. Here is bestie still as excited after all her purchases hahaha..
Spotted at Myeongdong! Hippo ad!
So cute and funny! I have never seen a skinny hippo ok! It was a product to help to reduce weight but I find it so hilarious. Haha!
So happy we had the time to visit another cat cafe!!!!
Some instructions before playing with the cats!
The cats! They were mostly anti – social but a few were friendly enough to approach us.
The cutest!! It was just happily leaning itself against the handbag and sleeping!!
Its cuter when its asleep because its grumpy when its awake! Lol.
It even refuses to face my camera like the other cats.
My favourite! This is Jolie!!!
Its soooo cute! It just sat there and let us pet her!! I wish I can bring her home!
Spot the jealous cat. Lol. It really stared at the 2 lovey dovey cats for a long time!
So many cats its like my dream home…except for the cleaning part. Hahaha. Ah, this is the handsome one who willingly pose for photos with us!!
Time really went by too fast. Before we know it, it was time to make a move. The weather was really piercing cold, I could feel it on my face. It was impossible to stay outdoor for more than 10 mins to shop so I really do not know how the people selling on carts could do that. I think the temperature was -14 degrees.
Made our way back with our heavy bags. We took the cab as we were carrying a lot of things. One day to shop for everything was not enough!
A little tip. If you are planning to go Myeongdong to shop, do not plan to go anywhere else after that. You will not be able to resist the temptation to shop! There are a lot of colourful, interesting and cheap things. here.
We are going home tomorrow!
