Leaving footprints in Korea Day 8 @ 63 Building, Seoul
21 December 2012
Last day here! Going to miss waking up to this in the mornings.
I really feel like coming back to finish the hike! Probably in a less colder season. Lol.
We had some time to spare in the morning so we decided to venture around the hotel and here we are at the rooftop restaurant!
We really had a lovely stay here! Playing around as usual in this freezing weather.
The rooftop restaurant looks posh and nice.
The journey back to Seoul took about 3 hours. While we were on the bus, we could see that it was a windy day. The temperature in Seoul was predicted to be -12 degrees. Its about -9 degrees in Sokcho.
It was snowing lightly when we arrived in Seoul! I wish I could take out my camera and take photos but my fingers were frozen and all I wanted to do was get indoors or get into a vehicle. Haha..Searching for our guest house was not easy at all because its in such a secluded place. After being lost in the cold weather, finally we arrived!
We unpacked and rested for about 1.5 hours. The room seems small compared to Kensington Hotel but I am just really thankful that we are on the first floor so we won’t need to carry our luggage up and down the stairs.
Headed out to Building 63 for late lunch! This is Rachel!
We were starving so we ate at the food court.
Our first stopover – Sea World.
Well, I guess aquariums are the same regardless of the country you are in?
A really cute penguin! I do not know why I feel sad looking at these poor penguins. Their spaces seemed small to me and I am an animal lover who believes that humans should not confine animals. They deserve to be free…..
I was scared fascinated by this BIG fish!! So pretty!
We then saw these 2 storks and they were so pretty too. Their heads were tucked in like that so I this was what happened.
Hahaha!
On the way out we bumped into a huge teddy bear. Too cute and cannot resist taking with it!
Next pit stop. Wax museum! My first time entering a wax museum! Deprived excited!
Giant cake!
Since I do not get to meet famous people in person so this will do 😛
Because I am a dancer and this is a mandatory photo.
I do not know why the bestie likes evil company.
Childhood super hero brought over to adulthood 😛
Our heroes!
Who does not love Beckham?!
Some famous people!
Giant teddy bears everywhere!!!
They are all so fluffy but we could not resist all the cuteness.
Harry Potter as a teddy bear. Lol so cute.
Last few photos taken before we leave. We actually skipped the ‘scary’ section because we were all too chicken to enter it! Haha! Plus there was no one around so …… no thanks.
3 of us today!
Pretty christmas decorations again….love travelling at this time of the year!
Next stop Sky Art Gallery! Amazed by these art pieces.
The view from the 63th floor. So beautiful and therapeutic.
The 2 girls wanted to visit this cafe called Tous less Jours that belonged to one of the Suju members. I was still clueless to who he was so I thought it would be interesting to find out.
We are finally here after looking for the place high and low!
Its a very small cafe and cosy cafe and there were photos of the star all over the cafe. He must be really famous because there were messages from fans all over the world on the notice board!
My 2 travel mates happy to be here! I was just happy that I get to have a hot drink in this freezing weather! Lol!
Perhaps I should really check out these guys since they are so famous. I know this group through their songs used in some of my dance classes and their songs are pretty catchy to dance to.
Day 9 tomorrow!
