Leaving footprints in Korea Day 7 @ Teddy Bear Farm (Sokcho)
20 December 2012
Its our last day here at Sockho so we decided to go sight seeing around. Our first stopover, Teddy Bear Farm was a little bit far so we had to take a cab there. We were planning on taking the bus but apparently there were no straight buses there.
The cab was running late so we played in the lobby.
We are here!
Giant teddy bears everywhere all nicely dressed!
They were even in the walls!
The nicely decorated teddy bear farm can make anyone feel happy entering it.
Wow our surprise birthday party! Haha…
The teddy bears were all of different themes and I really felt like taking a photo of everything.
I thought the place was going to be too kiddish for us but we were really having fun like little kids. #deprivedchildhood
Cannot resist someone in the army uniform. Kiss for you…muacks.
Why are you so cute?
Hey I wanted to wear the veil too ok.
The teddy bears in different settings with all the different kinds of costume. Everything was so detailed!
Wish I had a set to play with when I was younger. Lol.
Going into another section of the farm!
Giant storybook! Do I look like Alice in Wonderland since I was coincidentally in blue?
Santa teddy bear and a teddy bear burglar. So funny!
A mini house! Can I enter it???
Yes we did. Actually I cannot believe we could fit in it without it collapsing. Everything was so cute, we just had to keep on taking photos. 😛 Pretend play!
Funny sign! Slow slow.
Time to head outside!
We had left our jackets at the counter so I was freezing the whole time we were outside!
As usual, I do not know why bestie is not feeling cold!
Frozen pond, even the bear wants to escape from it 😛
In the cold, we found someone who needed some help with reading.
Something we discovered at the far end…..
Rabbits! Sooooooooooooo cute and they were really hungry!!
So the bestie plucked out some branches (with leaves) at the side and the rabbits were all rushing for the food. They must be really hungry and cold at this temperature!
Aww, I wish I can carry them all in my arms.
I did not feel like leaving. Poor rabbits were all so hungry.
It was really freezing cold and we were without our jackets so we had to hurry taking the photos..lol…everyone indoors must have thought we were crazy.
We were still so amazed by the meticulous settings.
I thought these woods were pretty, like out from a fairy tale in a story book.
Do I look like one of them?
While waiting for the cab to arrive, we discovered this cosy looking room full of pillows. It was rather inviting because I was feeling sleepy.
Our second stopover for the day!
The beaches here all seemed to have a lovey dovey theme.
A really calming and pretty sight and it was still cold!!
I guess you can call us two deprived people because we rarely have the chance to go to the beach and simply admire the beauty surrounding it. We are either too busy with work or the weather is too hot back in Singapore.
My favourite pic of us! Not sure why the bestie’s face was like cartoon but very cute! Hahaha!
Our usual multiple shots! I cannot seem to move too fast as my fingers and legs were all pretty frozen by the cold.
What a peaceful sight!
I have always love going to the beach! If it was not too cold, I am sure there will be people swimming the sea.
Wish we could stay outdoor longer but any more longer, the bestie would have to carry me as I would be frozen.
All the walking made us hungry! Seafood restaurant by the beach!
The yummylicious hot pot.
The speciality dish. Fried squid with rice and stuffed vegetables. Its very nice but I am not a big fan of squid actually.
The side dishes! Not a fan of kimchi but I loved the rest of the pickles and side dishes!
Time to dig in!
Our next stopover was to find the ‘missing’ lake. We got lost yesterday so we decided to look for it again today. Apparently, its such a huge lake and it is connected to the sea.
The huge significant bridge.
Passing through zinc roofted houses and shops such as these….
Beautiful white lighthouse monument!
There were some men fishing in this cold weather, it was really a peaceful sight.
Just us. There were no one around really.
We could see the sun setting from here.
So blessed to see the sunset!
Cafe of the day before heading back.
Hot chocolate and waffles makes me happy! Yay…someone is drinking cold again! In this weather!
Our last bus ride home was enjoyable. I actually enjoy quiet times on the bus a lot. Our stop was the second last so we often ended up being the last 2 person on the bus.
We decided to play with the Double Decker bus since we knew we were not going London anytime soon.
I thought the bestie was not up to it but she followed me hang around the pole. Lol.
It was so pretty on the inside. It was nicely decorated with ribbons and pretty lights. Our camera could not fully capture it.
After a few minutes……………….. too cold, need heat.
The view from the balcony of our room. Looks messy here but its all her clothes. Mine cannot even be seen here.
There is no night life in Sokcho. When it gets dark, everyone retreated back to their homes and spend time with their family. I kinda like the peaceful and simple way of living here. It is quiet and the air is so fresh.
A great contrast to living in a hectic city like ours.
Something that will never happen in Singapore. Me in bed at 9 pm. All packed to go back to Seoul tomorrow. I actually hate packing but for some reason, I am actually looking forward to more excitement!
