Chapter 4: Of bikes and muddy boots
15 December 2011
It was a bright Thursday morning here at Krabi. Since we had wifi in our hotel room, we have been posting our photos of adventures in Krabi online. Apparently, it has been raining everyday in Singapore and there was major train disruption that affected thousands of people.
We were thinking, how blessed were we to be in sunny Krabi!
Maria was unwell from last night so we decided to not go out into the seas today. Instead, we decided to shift our Friday’s activity today.
1st up, ATV!!
Getting ready to get all dirty!
I swear my motorbike is not balanced. There was mirror only on one side and I had hard time trying to control the bike in the beginning. I kept going off course and into trees and grass.
But once I got the hang of it, it was super fun!!!
Pool of mud was everywhere and I kept thinking that I will fall into one of them.
Each time someone needs help, we would all stop and wait for the 2 boys guiding us. Meanwhile, that also meant that I have time to take photos.
Our route through the forest.
And then out in the sandy open. The 3 younger ones were riding really fast in front of me and I could not capture them in action.
The one who was initially afraid was happily riding in front and leaving everyone behind! Haha!! After the whole course ended, we were all covered in mud!!
I don’t think I have ever been so dirty and muddy in my whole life! But it was really an amazing experience.
Riding in the bumpy jungle was initially scary and unpredictable, but this whole experience was exciting!! I think I am addicted and I wanna do this again!
Ladies can ride in mud too!
Our pants were covered in mud but I think we looked kinda cool. Lol.
We were allowed to wash up a little and then it was shooting time!
Ok I must say I suck ok. I can’t see that well and I can shoot and aim for 1000 times and still not hit any target. Thank God I am no policewoman huh.
Where were were supposed to aim and shoot.
The bullets.
The air guns.
One last try!
Haiz, still failed. I am not meant to be a shooter. We went back to the hotel to change before heading out for lunch. This time we are trying out another street stall.
It was time for shopping but our guide, Kak Hana, brought us to the fish farm first.
The place was nice and windy and we spotted some pretty fishes.
Must not be easy running this place. There were thousands of fishes!
Dinner after so much shopping at Factory Outlet. I did not even capture any photos at Factory Outlet because I was too busy shopping. Lol.
Dinner in the food court.
This is sooooooooooooo not fried rice!!! Was telling Fidah that the cook must have forgotten to turn on the gas while ‘frying’ the rice!
Gathered at Raimi’s room and made a mess in his room. Haha!! Tomorrow we are going out into the seas!! To Hong Islands, cannot wait!!
Sleeping early for another exciting day!
