Day 5: Meowing away with much missed cat friends!
15 June 2013
We were going to take it easy today. Took some time to sleep in. For some reason, I was not able to sleep that well in Jeju even though I was exhausted from all the walking.
Lunch at Itaewon, because I miss chicken. If you are looking for halal food, you can find a lot of halal restaurants in Itaewon. Its also where the mosque is.
We were the first customers in the restaurant, and it was such a long wait for our food. The owner was nice enough to give us fruit cocktail while waiting for our main food.
After Zohor prayers at the mosque, we headed to Tom’s Cat Cafe in Hongdae!
Like all cat cafes, they only served drinks.
Sooo happy to see all my cat friends!! We were here last December and we totally loved this place! They had kittens this time!
Check out the fluffy white cats all sitting / standing on one straight row as if they are queueing up. Lol.
I like this one!! She was just sitting there on the table.
Its soooooooooooo cute so I decided to play with it!
The others were camera shy or just plain lazy. Lol.
Some were sleeping or stoning away!
Not having a care in the world.
So I moved on to playing with the others!
The bestie was not scared of the cats anymore….congratulations lol…
One even went into her dress!! Its so funny how the cat just decided to seek refuge inside her dress. Lol.
This one looks like its looking for something at our table. Lol.
This one came to say hi.
Suddenly, this grey one came over to me and just decided to lay down next to me.
Yellow eyes!! Its so fluffy and adorable!!
It went over to bestie too.
It was just lazily hanging around us so we decided to take a selca with it!
Thank to you, I am covered in white fur all over me! And I was wearing a black dress!
This one was just looking out of the window. It looks kinda sad and it surprisingly just continued standing still when we took photos with it.
Time to say goodbye! Wish I can bring them all home!
Directions to Tom’s Cat Cafe:
Hongik University Station, line 2, exit 9. Walk up the road leading towards Hongdae playground. The cat cafe is across from the Art Box store, on the 3rd floor.
We were walking around the flea market and it has a lot of interesting stuffs on sale. However the weather was too hot, we could not continue walking in that heat.
Therefore, we had to stop by for dessert! Strawberry ice flakes. This type of ice flakes were sold everywhere in summer. Its something that we did not see last December.
After Rachael arrived, we went over to Ewha Women’s University for sightseeing.
This place was huge! Love the design of the whole place!
I am not loving the stairs BUT I love everything else.
It was a very peaceful place to study. Wish I had the luxury to study in such a place. The places I study in were often chaotic, its no wonder that I am out of my mind now as an adult.
Time for dinner. Loved the ramen and the sushi! It was delicious!
We went walking around the area. I think we really walked a long way because my feet was aching terribly and I was not in my sport shoes. My sport shoes has in sole support that helps with my flat feet.
Stop by for a drink after a long walk!
Its been a really long walk! Took cab back to zzzzz!!
