Safely Home
I have never been a fan of long flights. I do not even bother to dress up whenever I fly so can you imagine how crappy I looked when we finally arrived in Singapore? Furthermore my nose was still running and my throat was sore so I really think I look like death.
So Mum said that we are going to go home straight because we donโt think that anyone will be picking us up since its a Monday afternoon.
We were wrong. Guess who we first saw from afar?
ย After that we saw more of our relatives! We really did not expect anyone to turn up.
Guess who was the centre of attention?
She seemed the most excited to see us. Haha..
She was just sitting there like a celebrity waiting for everyone to take photos of her. Lol.
Thank you everyone for coming! Its always nice to be received at the airport and I know some of you are staying at the other end of Singapore.
Quick lunch with le family before heading back. I was still unwell and weak so I am just glad that I only start work on Wednesday
What a wonderful and fulfilling trip this has been. I feel like changed person and even though the trip was short and can be tiring, I did not regret it at all.
If you are an avid traveller, you should definitely plan to come here first before you travel to the other parts of the world. There is so much blessing in visiting this place and you would not want to go through a lifetime not visiting this place even once.
Therefore, do save up. Monetary affairs was a challenge for me too at first but I was too determined to let it affect me so I really worked hard to save and earn extra cash whenever I can.
After that you just need to have faith! A lot of people tell me that they are not ready to go. When will you be ready then? When you turn 40? When you are older? When you are married? Most of us make the mistake of ‘waiting for the right time’ and honestly, there is no right time. You have to make right, there is not such thing as the ‘right time.’
If you have this little fear inside of you, its perfectly normal. Its human nature to fear of something unpredictable or unfamiliar.
I look forward to you sharing your experiences with me.
Assalamualaikum sister ๐
A google search brought me to your blog, by the Grace of Allah. Jazakillahu khayr for sharing your umrah experience, I’m counting down the days to my own trip with excitement, Insha’Allah. I was wondering if you have any tips for bringing in our cellphones into Masjidil Haram or Nabawi? I heard the security is especially tight at Nabawi, but I haven’t been to the holy land since the year 2000 and so much has changed since then. Would appreciate any tips for me, if any ๐ May Allah bless you with an abundance of goodness both in this world and The Hereafter ๐
Rawaidah.
W’ssalam,
Thank you for your lovely comment. I did not know that my blog can be found via google. Lol.
Actually they will check your bags but they do allow handphones in. If you have cameras, I recommend you leave them in the hotel room because it is not allowed in the mosque. In Masjidil Haram, there are currently lots of construction so a lot of areas are blocked. For both mosques, especially in Nabawi, it was really crowded, we had to arrive about 45 mins before prayer time to get a seat. Especially on Friday for Friday prayers, its too crowded there was no place to sit and do sunnah prayers too. Do make sure you are early.
Hope this helps! ๐
Almost all blogs can be found through the google search unless you toggle your wordpress settings! (:
That was definitely helpful sister. Thank you so much for the tips. May Allah bless you with goodness in abundance, and may He invite us to His House many many more times in the future. Allahumma Aameen.
