Umrah Day 6: Goodbye Mecca

Today is our last day in Mekah so we wanted to make use of the free schedule to take more photos of this blissful place.

We wanted to take photos near the Kaabah but its always crowded so we figured out that the best time to take is right after Subuh prayers.

As predicted, people were busy doing tawaf after Subuh.

We managed to find a space for us to take photos without disturbing the jemaah doing tawaf. Can you see the door of the Kaabah from these pictures?

With the clock tower in the background. So beautiful.

Mum and me looking extremely happy. Its amazingly peaceful here because I don’t have to go to work.

We took turns to take photos for each other.

Finally we had the help of a stranger to help us take a full family photo with the blissful Kaabah in the background.

And another one with the skyscraper clock tower.

Tranquillity of Subuh.

One last photo right outside Masjidil Haram.

On our way back from the mosque, this sign caught my attention. This sign is non existent in our country. Lol.

Ironically, I almost slip and fall while reading this sign on the travelator. I am clumsy I know.

Breakfast time is happy time. We had a change of venue for our breakfast place because it was too crowded. I was about to take a photo the apples and this sign but my family got into the frame and refused to move. Lol.

We went back to rest for a while. Since today was our last day here, it was also our only chance to shop in Mekah.

We ended the day with a taklimat by the ustaz. He reminded us that we should be thankful because we have been invited to His house this time. There are others richer and healthier than us but have yet to be invited to come.

How true. I remember saving like mad because I was not only paying for myself, I was paying for Mum’s too. So my expenditure for this umrah package was doubled compared to everyone else’s.

No regrets though because I was determined to be here. Its like a calling that I cannot put it into words. Furthermore, I am sure I will be blessed with an abundance of ‘rezeki’ after this.

So thankful for this opportunity alhamdulilah.
